My "neutral" mood...

I've been in one of those "neutral" moods lately with my color choices. I like the browns and Kraft together.
This card is just that!
A simple card using a Kraft base with Chocolate Chip ink. The stem image and sentiment are from my Unity Kit of the Month for May.
I "stamped off" to get the lighter stem images on a half top note die cut. Sponged the edges a little too.
The twine is some new stuff from Papertrey Ink. It comes on a spool of 20 yards and is available in two colors. I got both!!
Off to do some more creating!! Thanks for stopping by!!

Quick post...

One of my other favorite stamp companies is Papertrey Ink. This card is a quick one I actually made last week.
I used 2 of their newest sets - Fancy Flourishes, Background Basics Text Style.
I punched the flowers out with my Boho Blossoms punch from SU!.
The sentiment is also SU! Kaiser pearls were added for accent.
I used Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa cardstock and Rustic Cream (from Papertrey).
Like I said, quick post - off to try and create a little tonight if I can!

Wednesday Challenge...

Just a quick post for my Wednesday Unity Addicts Challenge this week.

The challenge was from Michelle and included inspiration with the colors yellow, turquoise, tangerine, and lots of white.

This is what I came up with. The cone flowers are from the new Unity Kit of the Month for May.
I got all the colors in, lots of white, and I coated the flowers and the dragonfly with some SU! Dazzling Diamonds to make is sparkle!!
Another amazing kit from Unity!!! The whole kit is pictured below...

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

A Couple of Quckie Cards

Here are a couple of quick cards I put together "monochromatic style".
We all know that you can get 2 A2 size cards from a sheet of cardstock. I prefer to make use of both of them while I'm creating if I can. Might as well go with the color since I'm already in the groove right? Just me I guess.....
Anyway, here is what I came up with........both cards are quite simple, not lots of bling or anything.
In the top card, I used the flower stamp from Unity April Kit of the Month. (Sometimes these little stamps in the kits don't get enough attention.) I stamped them in SU! Perfect Plum and used my circle punch. Added a rhinestone to the center of each flower and that's it!
The ribbon is Martha Stewart and the sentiment is from the same kit and stamped in white.
The card below is my first attempt at using my new Papertrey Ink GuideLines II paper and Stamp Set. Again, I kept it monochromatic, right down to the sentiment, which is also PTI from the Mega Mixed Messages set.
I'll be using this Guide Lines a lot more - so much potential in this set!!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Quick Post

Here is a quick card I made the other day using some of the new Basic Grey Wisteria paper. It's a very pretty set of DP. The cardstock I matched is PTI Ocean Tide and SU Perfect Plum. The ribbon is also PTI Ocean Tide (I love this color!)
I stamped the Linden Branch from Unity a couple of times and added some SU Dazzling Diamonds to the tips of the blooms.
The "friend" sentiment is also PTI, from their Mega Mixed Messages set.
Finished it off with some Kaiser pearls - that's it. Pretty simple card.
Personally, I tend to lean toward a CAS style, not so busy or time consuming to create.
Thanks for stopping by............

Tina Werner is giving away a $25 gift certificate to Impression Obsession on her Blog. The drawing is June 1st. If you have not checked out their stamps, you sould. Lots of great stuff!!
What I particularly like about their stamps is that you can get them anyway you want them - wood mounted, unmounted, or with cling mount!!

Don't forget, today is Hip Hop Thursday over at the Unity Forum on SCS.

Unity Addicts Wednesday

This weeks challenge was a graduation card. Immediately the "2009" and "Endings...." stamps from past Unity Kits of the Month came to mind. They fit the graduation theme so well. The journaling stamp and the star are also from Unity KOTM. Lots and lots of goodies in those Unity Kits!! Check it out - they are totally worth the investment!
The sentiment on the inside is from PTI Mega Mixed Messages.
I used Kraft cardstock and Baja Breeze from SU on this card.
Make sure you stopy by My Unity Place - lots of great stuff going on there too!!
