I'm really loving the white on white thing right now and put together a bunch of

different cards with similar layouts and just changed up the colors.

I love the clean look.

I never got a chance to share these before Christmas was here

While I was working a scrapbooking retreat in October I had time to use

my PTI Damask Snowflake dies

and put together a bunch of holiday tags.

Just got around to photographing and posting them.

I was pretty happy with how they turned out and can see me

making lots more of these in the future!

I have not done much in the form of scrapbooking....

I am working on that....really, I am!!

I did however sort of stumble on something that I thought I would share with

any of my reader's who might be regular scrappers!! :)

It's called Snipping Tool !

(Maybe you already do this or have already heard of it, but it just came to me

today and I felt the need to share.....)

If you have Windows 7 on your computer - you have the Snipping Tool feature!

So what?????

Here is what I discovered...

If you scrap your adventures you most likely collect things to incorporate into your scrapbook pages, journals, and/or mini albums.

I know I do...

Well, if you miss some of these goodies, lose them, or just don't think you have enough,

don't fret!

Head to the website for that state you visited,

amusement park,

google your destination...............

then,

snip

away!!

There you have images or logos, etc. to use on your creations!!!

We recently took a day and spent it in a small resort town near our home.

On the boat cruise, the captain took my only evidence of the ride - my ticket.

So, today I went to the website and "snipped" some things to use in the

mini album I plan to put together for the day.

All you have to do is snip what you'd like and print it!!

Try it!! You can go back and collect all kinds of great things that you

thought you missed.

A Card Set to Share

A quick post tonight to share a card set I made a while back

and just got the chance to photograph and post.

Pretty simple-paper punched scallop squares, squares, hearts, and flowers.

The sentiments are from the PTI set Tiny Tags.

The papers are some 6x6 My Minds Eye

The pictures don't really do this set justice...its much prettier IRL!!

It's been a while....

It's been a crazy, busy summer around here so far....

my crafting time was limited and my creativity took a long vacation....

I finally had some time to work on a few things.

This card came together with little stamping - sometimes I like/need that!

The paper is from the Basic Grey Out of Print line. The ivory loop trim I used on the tag and butterfly was sponged with some linen colored ink to give an antiqued look. It can also be spritzed with Glimmer Mist or other dye to change the color to your liking.

The sentiment is from the PTI 2011 Anniversary Set.

More Avocado Arts & Pinterest

Today I have a couple more cards made using the very first kit from Avocado Arts -

Sunshine and Smiles.

For these two cards, I used two of the sentiments in the kit.

Each card has a medium Kraft shipping tag, some twine, a little piece of die cut doily, die cut flowers, and a button.

The papers are from my MME 6x6 pads.

My inspiration for these cards came from Pinterest.

If you have not heard of the site yet, or have not ventured over there - you must do so!!

So much to see and it is so much fun! I'm hooked on pinning!

Whenever the crafting mojo has disappeared - a visit here brings it back real fast!!

Just recently got myself some of the new Purple Onion Designs stamps.

I had not heard of them and then stumbled upon a blog using these super cute new designs...

The new releases from them by Stephanie Ackerman are adorable!

I love the "doodle" look!

(She has classes on doodling, I am in the middle of her first class now)

This card uses the kit Home Sweet Home.

I stamped the house and clouds on some MME designer papers and kept the layout pretty simple.

Just a quick post to share a card today!

Nothing too fancy here, some scallops, twine, and a button!

The only stamping on this one is the sentiment.

This one is from the Paper Smooches set Sentiment Sampler.

It's a must have, really! So many ways to use these great sentiments all Kim Hughes handwriting.

Don't ever be afraid to mix up your sets - even between companies.

I do it all the time to get the combination I'm looking for.

Right now, I am in love with the new 6x6 paper pads from My Minds Eye. I have 8 of them and they are at my fingertips at all times! (Yes, I said 8) Couldn't resist getting them all as soon as they came out.

The newest are the Lime Twist and I have all of the Stella Rose too.

I love these smaller papers and smaller designs for cardmaking.

Under the sentiment are simply paper punched dots (scraps actually)...and I finished the card off with some twine - I have this available in my Etsy Shop - and a button.

Friends with Flair & {ippity} News

Just a quick post today to share a card and let you know that there are big changes coming to {ippity} stamps!

This card has fabric, twine, buttons, cork....you name it. Yet it still doesn't look too busy.

The tiny hearts at the bottom are the remnants of some die cut tags with heart cutouts.

The twine is available HERE, of course. I now have 9 colors of rustic jute twine/string available.

The tree stamp is from the Bella Blvd line at Unity - Country Tree.

I left it pretty plain on this card, but it really has lots of great potential...

Friends with Flair Friday Combo

Happy Friday everyone!! It is Friends with Flair Friday over on the Unity blog and I have cards to share this week!

Both cards are kind of a combo card in that the images are Unity, but the sentiments are from other places. I do a lot of mix and matching with my stamps to find the perfect combinations for my cards. Probably the reason my stamp area gets so messy! :)

Anyway, the images are both from different Unity kits that I have.

A fun little flowery card to share today with all of my blog readers.....

Something new - stamps from Paper Smooches!

Kim Hughes is now selling her own line of stamps and her images are so fun!

I love how cute (and versatile) they all are.

I got the Friendly Flowers kit to start (I'm sure I will be buying more) and there are so many possibilities with these images its just crazy.

For this card, I paper pieced this super sweet plaid flower.

I added some cotton muslin fabric as a bow and accented with some scallops.

Got a chance last weekend to get a little "crafty" and make some cards.

They don't get much simpler than this one.

All Kraft, brown ink, white ink, and some colored pencils.

I love the look of white on Kraft and sponged around the burlap image and edges of the card to soften it a little. The card looks much better in person than in the photograph.

2 Days in a row..........wow, can't believe it myself!

Here is another very simple card I put together using some of the

Core'dinations cardstock I recently won.

Yes, I won it! Hard to believe because I never win anything, but I won a sample package of this cardstock and I also just recently won a box full of stuff from Zutter!

On the card, I used the lighter and darker blue. When the darker blue is sanded, it looks just like denim.

There is a strip of torn cotton muslin fabric in there too.

I wrapped each die cut (Labels 1) with some Ivory Rustic Twine,

then stamped my sentiment (from Unity).

It's been a while since I posted here..........hoping to change that

and be a little more active on the blog.

Today, I have a very, very basic and simple Kraft card to share.

I used a scrap piece of Kraft paper (it is not a standard size card, therefore, no envelope),

this super cute flower stamp from Unity and sentiment stamp from Mint Motif,

and a piece of torn cotton muslin fabric.

That's about as simple as it gets!

A few weeks ago, I did up a batch of these cute little note cards.

Perfect to send a little love note anytime, or for Valentine's Day.

The cute envelope stamp is from the {Ippity} kit - How YOU Doin'? available from me HERE.

The twine is Airmail Divine Twine that I also have available in my Etsy Shop.

I added a touch of glitter to the hear on the envelope to make it pop a little.

Also available in my Etsy Shop is this super pretty Wrinkled Rayon Ribbon in light aqua.

I absolutely love this color. It looks great with chocolate, pink, yellow,............so many color combinations work with this!!

Just a quick post to update anyone who might be interested on the Etsy shop........

I have lots of the Pink Satin Cutout Hearts Ribbon shown above still available.

It is listed in 2 yd. quantity, but I can hook you up with more if you need it.

Below is a CAS little note card I put together using this ribbon. I actually ran the ribbon through my Xyron sticker maker and adhered it that way. Much easier to use than trying to run tape along the back side of it.

Worked like a charm. Who would have though how useful that little sticker maker would actually be. I use it for all of my rick rack too!

I now have Pink Rustic Twine available. This is listed in 10 yd & 20 yd quantities, but again - I can work out different quantities if you need it.

As many of you know, I carry Divine Twine Baker's Twine in my Etsy Shop. I have all 12 colors currently available.

I've been super busy keeping up with orders in my shop - It's a good kind of busy though - I love it!!

I work full time M-F, so my evenings have been spent getting orders packaged up and sent out as quickly as possible. I don't like to make my customers wait! :)

The gang at the post office is getting so familiar with me that I walk in and they say....

"The usual??"

I've been absent from the blogging world lately, but only because life has gotten quite busy.

My Etsy Shop has been busy and I have not had much time to sit and create....

Anyway - I did get the time to put together a couple of gift boxes.

Some cardstock, designer paper, a tag, wrinkled rayon ribbon, some Unity and PTI stamps, and a bit of burlap material transforms a basic kraft box.

Below is a photo of the box before any embellishing was done.

These are still available in my Etsy Shop.

I know it's too late for Christmas, but these boxes can be decorated and use all year round.

Mini pocket notepads - FWF

This project is a cute little gift box made using the Sizzix scalloped square die. I cut two of these, stamped them, and then made up a small box to put between them.

The stamp kits used here are a couple of Unity's Co-Branded kits with Jillibean Soup - HERE

My second item to share with you today is this little pocket notepad.

The stamps involved in this come from the Unity Kit of the Month for November - Picture Perfect.

The notebook paper stamp and sentiment come together nicely on this little 3x5 notepad.

I designed a template to use with 3x5 scratch pads.

If you look inside, I have designed it to have a little pocket to tuck stuff into.

These fit perfectly into your purse and are great for shopping lists, gift lists, etc.

Card Set & A Challenge

Skipping around the blogs I like to visit and came across a challenge over at

the Moxie Fab Blog for birthday cards.

These are my submissions for the

Card Creations: Favorite Occasions Week Birthday Challenge in the Moxie Fab World

I have not shared this set yet, and it has a few birthday cards included.

I love these colors together and kind of took off with the simple style using the

Papertrey Ink Anniversary set from this last year and some variations in the layouts.

I feel so much more productive when I can put out sets like this rather than just one card.

Don't get me wrong, its fun to put together a super great card now and then, but my time is seriously limited nowadays. One word............HOCKEY.

These were quick and easy and I love that!! I was on a roll for sure.

Gift Card Sacks-Tags-Ornaments

Quite a while ago, I got my hands on some of these teenie, tiny brown paper sacks.

After staring at them for a while, I figured out that gift cards fit perfectly inside these bags.

I decorated a few of them and added twine so they can be tied to something.

They can be used as gift tags or hung from the tree.

My mother always used to hide my smallest gifts inside the tree somewhere - these are ideal for that!

I plan on tying a few around some bottles of wine and tucking a gift card inside.

You can also stuff them with any tiny treat or gift.

The Pandora bracelets / charms are big with the ladies in my family right now, so these are perfect!

They measure 2.5" x 4"

Christmas Thank You Notes

I don't usually post much over the weekends, but wanted to share these cute little thank you cards.

I love the PTI set - Signature Christmas.

These are CAS, easy to mass produce and make the perfect gift too.

The rickrack is actually cardstock cut from the rickrack die that PTI has too. I make the die cuts and then run them though my Xyron and make a kind of "sticker" out of them. Makes it super easy to adhere the trim to cards.

Friday Flair Post

Very, very quick simple post today...........

This is a 3.5" x 3.5" note card perfect for putting with that last minute holiday gift!

These mittens are adorable and had to be inked as soon as I opened this kit.

October Kit of the Month - Unity - Take Time to Laugh.

The mittens were paper pieced with some PTI designer paper, then I cut them out and sponged the edges a little. That's it!!

On a side note.....I cannot believe that my blog traffic count has hit over 25,000!! I love that people stop by and "visit".

I also love the Feedjit Live Traffic Feed that I have on here.

It's great to see who is stopping by, where they came to my blog from on the Internet, and what location (city, country) they are from. Very informative to say the least. ;)

Peppermints and Snowflakes!!

Phew........finally some time to post to the blog today. It's been a crazy time around here with work, school projects, and the onset of HOCKEY SEASON!!

Just getting a chance to share this project I put together a couple of weeks ago.

First off, I used this super cute new kit from Taylored Expressions - Merry Little Cocktail.

I love this peppermint candy stamp....and the rest of the kit.........so many ideas running through my head.

I made the box with my Sizzix scallop square die. I designed my own box for the middle and added some curled wire for the handle.

The bow is from some of the red velvet wrinkled rayon ribbon I have available HERE.

To go inside the scallop box, I made a set of 6 holiday notecards.

The sentiment on the cards is from the PTI set - Signature Christmas. Another very versatile holiday set that everyone must have.

The cards fit perfectly inside the box. Great for a gift - they can use the cards and then use the box to gift someone else!

I love how this turned out. I must make more!!

Above is a notepad I made using notepads and a template from Papertrey Ink.

I have a bunch of these notepads for sale in my shop right now. Some are holiday planners and others are just everyday notepads.....

& Unity (the button is from a kit that I cannot name at the moment)

Today I have a couple of very simple birthday cards to share. The only difference in them is the sentiment style. You can make many of these in a short period of time and add to your stash of cards quite easily.

Wrinkled Rayon Ribbon!!

I have been selling Wrinkled Rayon Ribbon in my Etsy Shop for a couple months now.

I love this stuff and find it hard not keeping it all to myself........ :)

I hand dye it myself.

You can make it less wrinkled by ironing it, or you can add more wrinkles by simply balling it up and putting it into a ziploc bag for a while.

It is made from 100% rayon.

I just did up this batch of Red Velvet, Cream, and Shadow. I have more colors coming soon..........Pumpkin for the holidays is one!

I had a customer buy these three colors and when I put them together to package them up, I fell in love with the color combo!!

If you can't already tell, my cards are often a CAS style.

I got the chance this weekend to put together a couple of cards and thought I'd play along with the Clean & Simple blog....

The stamp sets used were both from PTI - Take Note and Just the Ticket

I also used a couple of my PTI dies - the tickets and the flower.

I'm thinking a set of these cards for a music teacher might make a nice gift????

The Crafting World

The deeper I get into this crafting world, the more amazed I am. There are so many talented people out there and I discover more and more everyday.

Not only are these people talented, they are sweet, friendly, helpful, and so many other wonderful things.

I recently began putting more time into my Etsy shop and made a sale to Vivien.

{ippity} Halloween Tags...

The tags above were made using the new SU! In colors...weren't they clever to have an orange, green, and purple going into Fall??

I used the Divine Twine baker's twine (that I currently have for sale in my Etsy Shop) on each one.

It comes in Green, Black Licorice, and Orange - perfect for Halloween crafting.

I've been using this Halloween kit from the most recent {ippity} release quite a bit lately.

I love this kit and the lady behind it - Lisa Hetrick. She is so talented!!

It's called That's Creepy and it is available through me HERE.

More tags below using the same kit, some Kraft paper, and more of the twine.

It is hard to tell from the photos, but the black circles are crimped/corrugated.

These tags are great to hang from any goodie bag...........I might use these for the treats I'm sending in to school to my son's class.

Just a little bit of Unity to share in today's Friends w/Flair........

I have been into the clothespin lately. I don't like them in their plain state, so I have stained mine.

These have been stained a dark walnut and I have more stained in old barn red and a nice shade of blue.

I made these to be used for clipping a card onto a gift / gift bag.

The possibilities are endless!!

Each one has a little scrap of burlap, some October Afternoon paper, button, twine, and a stamped sentiment dangling from it.

The "for you" sentiment is from an {ippity} kit, the others are PTI.

Here is another view of a few of the clips.......

You could even add a magnetic strip to the back and the recipient could cut off the tag and continue to use the clip on their refrigerator!!

This particular set is going up for sale in my Etsy Shop!

I have plans on making more of these............they are a great way to use up tiny scrap pieces. I hate throwing away any part of my designer papers.

I have incorporated some {ippity} into my items by stamping onto some of the die cut tags I use for the rustic twine I have listed.

I currently have 3 colors of the rustic twine available in both 10 yd and 20 yd bundles.

I love this twine for stringing through buttons, embellishing cards, gift wrapping, etc.

I have been a little lighter on my blog posts lately because I have been working on getting more in my

Etsy Shop.

Today's post showcases some new boxes that I will be adding to the shop.

I love these cute little gift boxes and wanted to make them available to anyone else who might be interested!!

Divine Twine baker's twine in 8 colors

One of the things I really like is that they come flat (a little assembly is required). Because of this, they can be stamped before making them up.

For this box, I stamped all over the lid of the box. I assembled it, and then sponged the edges.

The stamp is from {ippity} kit: That's Creepy

(The skeleton stamp is an odd stamp that I had from a while back)

Another thing I really like about these boxes is that they are corrugated on the OUTSIDE.

To accentuate this, I sponged the bottom of the box with black ink.

It gives it a worn, smoky look.

These boxes are 3 7/8" x 3 7/8" x 2 3/8" and are perfect for sweet treats, jewelry, gift cards, and so much more. I have so many ideas............now I just need time!

Below is a picture of the box and lid before any stamping or assembly.

I love this kit!!

The card is all black and white except for the red heart on the chimney of one of the houses.

I used my shadow colored wrinkle ribbon (still available in my Etsy Shop)

Some Friday Fright!

It is hard to believe that Halloween is right around the corner, but it is...........

I have been informed by my 10 year old, that he won't be needing a costume this year because he is not going Trick or Treating. He feels he is now too old for it..........makes me kind of sad :( because it was always a bigger deal than Christmas for him.

Which is also funny because he does not each much candy and I usually toss most of what he gets.......

This kit is perfect for cards or scrapbook pages!! I love the little journaling block and will be using that (and the rest of the kit) to scrap a small book for my son of his "Halloween Career". :)

The tiny bats and the sentiment are from a Gina K set.

The mat behind the witches hat is a white Labels 1 die cut sprayed with a little Black Magic Glimmer Mist and the wrinkle ribbon is some I died myself.

This little "for you" sentiment is tucked away in the new {ippity} kit...

I find these little sentiments so useful and pulled this one out when I put these gift card holders together last night.

These holders come with a slider that you can attach your gift card to. The template is from the Cash & Carry templates trio available at PTI in their Timeless Template section.

I have had it for sometime, and just got around to trying it out.

I will be putting several of these together and adding them to my Etsy Shop soon!

Please excuse the photo quality - we have had rain for 3 days straight now and therefore, very little natural light to help with picture taking..........it's been like over 5-6" of rainfall and that's a lot for around here!

I stamped three of the hounds tooth corners and then used them to make a tree.

(I have seen this done before, it is not my original idea. I look at so many blogs, that I cannot remember exactly who I have cased it from.)

A little bit or burlap was added to the background.

This tag also uses I added a little burlap square and half a tea dyed scallop with a button.

I also used this burlap string - which is available for purchase in my Etsy Shop.....

It is a little thicker than most twine..........I like this for the larger tags and for cards.

I braided a few pieces to make the tree trunk and then used some for the hanger.
