Color Inspiration Challenge

Today (since we have had nothing but rain, rain, rain) I decided to try out the Color Inspiration Challenge at kwernerdesignblog. This weeks challenge required the use of whisper white, sage shadow, regal rose, and rose red. I used my SU set "Doodle This" for the flower images. They were colored in with my pastels in sage, regal, and rose using the blender pen on watercolor paper for a watercolor effect. I don't yet own any ink pads in these colors. I also sponged the edges a little to give the base of the card a little more color. Not my best card, but it came out okay. The sentiment is also SU and it is matted on rose red and sage shadow cardstock pieces. I stamped that using my markers. Thanks for looking!

More Tile Coasters

Remember those coasters I posted several days ago? Well, my husband requested I make him one for his beer and then, of course, my 7 year old son just had to have one too. Obviously the beer bottle wasn't appropriate for him. He picked out his own stamps and I did all the work. These stamps are more of the new ones I got from their new release sets. These are really fun to make and easy too. I have a feeling I will be making many more of these. Thanks for looking!! Have a great weekend all!

Tile Coasters Unity Style

I've been wanting to make these for some time now, but hadn't gotten to it yet. Well, I'm on vacation this week and it has been a pretty crappy, rainy day, so I figured I'd give it a try. These are a set of tile coasters made using the Unity Giggle Grove set. The background writing is from an Inkadinkadoo stamp I picked up earlier this week having these already in mind. The colors come from my SU pastel set and a blender pen. This was my first attempt and I think they came out OK. I have some other ideas for more sets, but had to try this with the Giggle Grove set first! My husband has requested a coaster for his beer using one of my other sets I got from Unity's new releases. I'll be sure to post that one too!! Thanks for looking............
oh yeah.......not my original idea, of course, I got this idea from Tami and one of her TV shows!! They are super easy to make too!
