Wednesday Addicts Time Again

Not sure where this week is going, but it's Wednesday again and time for another Unity Addicts Challenge. This week the challenge was a sketch. Here is my take on it. The stamps are the little girls from my Unity April Kit of the Month. Aren't these adorable?? The kit is amazing, if you haven't signed up yet, you should. The kits get better and better each month.

The paper is My Minds Eye and is not only pretty, but textured too. The cardstock is from PTI. Card base is Kraft. Added some Kaiser pearls and ribbon to finish it off.

That's it.........make sure you stop by Unity Place and check it out!

Dragonfly set

A quick post tonight of a set of cards I made last week. These are made with a dragonfly stamp I just got from Impression Obsession. They have such a variety in stamps and this little one caught my eye. It is hard to tell from the photo, but the wings have some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on them to spruce them up. The paper is from the Basic Grey Porcelain pack.
The card sketch is from last weeks Mojo Monday (I think). I have jotted down so many sketches I like but have been so busy that I don't get to try them right away.
This is one of those weeks where everything is going on at once......big paper due, lacrosse, hockey, spring concert, school projects, bake sale.............not enough hours in a day!
Thanks for stopping by and have a great night!!

Okay - I was in need of some more of that wonderful MME paper I used on the altered folder and there is a sale going on at Two Peas

I'm still here....

I'm still here - haven't posted in a while because I've been busy with work, vacation, and school. Finally getting back into the groove of things this week.
Hope I did not lose any blog readers while I was away...:)
Below is my card for the Wednesday Unity Addicts Challenge.
Maria challenged us to make a card with a "green" theme in honor of Earth Day.
We needed to use something recycled or stamps related to going green.
I used my Unity Eco Chic, and I used some recycled brown bag. The little bird is from the smaller sized Unity Giggle Grove set!

I was on a roll, and decided to alter a Kraft portfolio/two pocket folder that was made from recycled material. Everyone needs folders for things. The journaling tag leaves a spot to label the folder for whatever you want-----------
I love how this turned out. The paper is MME, Penny Lane Notebook Doodles.
It was perfect for this project.
I used my Unity Giggle Grove (smaller size) set, the journaling stamp from last months Kit of the Month, and the butterfly from another Kit of the Month past.
These kits are full of such awesome stamps that come in handy for all kinds of projects. I've been a member since the beginning, so you have an idea of how many of these I have (he, he).
I used my notebook tab punch from Stampin' Up! to really make the paper look like it's from a notebook. The paper is textured and has light brown flourishes around it. Very pretty!!
There you have it!! Lots of recycled for me this week!!
Okay, I'm done rambling - have a great day!!

TGIF

Here is my hangover creation this week. This silhouette is from the Kit of the Month {Unity} for March. I stamped it in chocolate chip on some of the new Basic Grey Porcelain paper.
That's it, pretty quick and simple.
Gotta be a quick post tonight - way too late for me to still be up.
Just spent a few hours in the Emergency Room - my husband fell down the stairs and thought he broke his ankle.
It's not broken, but sprained - which they say is worse because of the tendon damage and the fact that it takes longer to heal.

Livin' Simply on Wednesday

It's Wednesday challenge time again and Maria challenged us to use the Inspirational Blog Hop logo as our inspiration for this weeks creations. I personally have trouble with too many colors in a card, just me. I love all these colors though, and wanted to make this work somehow.
This what I came up with.
I used my Untiy KOTM for March - the sentiment, the flower, and the backgrounds stamped in Versamark Watermark are all from stamps in the kit.
I used the butterfly and the top part of the topiary for the backgrounds.
Kaiser pearls Ijust got add an extra touch to the card.
