Thanks so much....

Here is a quick card I put together using the flower silhouette from my Unity KOTM for August. I stamped it in Soft Sky and Soft Suede stamping off for the lighter brown effect. I also sponged the edges a little. The layout just came together like this for me, nothing fancy. The sentiment is from my Papertrey Ink Mega Mixed Messages set. The card base is Kraft paper and I added a little Rustic Jute Twine also available at PTI.

Back to School.........

I am finding it hard to wrap my mind around the fact that summer is over and school begins on September 3rd............just two weeks away! Where did the summer go?
I know ours started late as we did not get 'summer' weather until early August.
Anyway, my latest Unity Kit of the Month to arrive had this super cute school house stamp in the set. Each set has a few stamps that are my faves (I love them all, but some inspire me more than others), and this is one of them. So many things you can do with it!
The top card is a small 4 x 4 card that would make a great gift tag for a teacher.
The bottom card will be going to my son's new 4th grade teacher next week.
He had summer homework and part of that was to write her a letter about a book he had to read for her. We will stick his letter inside here and send it to her.
I think she will love it!
Stamps used: Unity KOTM August '09

Paper: My Minds Eye, SU Soft Suede, PTI Scarlet Jewel

Butterflies............

Just a quick post tonight...........we are finally getting summer here and the last place I want to be when it is 90 degrees is on the computer.
This card is a combination of a few stamp sets:
There is also a little bit of paper piercing and some sponging in this card too!
Thanks for looking and stay cool!!

More buttons.....

I have more buttons for you today...........
Here are a couple more cards I made using the Everyday Button Bits set from Papertrey Ink I got from last months new release.
You can see the set in my last blog post.

The set is so versatile and it comes with lots of sentiments as well.
I used my double scallop punch again for the "grass" in the card below.
I've been so busy lately with things that the CAS style is working best for me right now. I feel like I accomplish more sometimes stamping that way.

Buttons

I know I've been a very bad blogger lately, but so much has been going on that when I finally sit down at night, I just can seem to get into getting a post together.
Just got back from a run and decided to show you this card I made using the fun new set from Papertrey Ink - Everyday Button Bits. This set is so adorable and if you love buttons, then it is the set for you. Check it out below.
My card was made using the tree trunks and some green buttons also from Papertrey Ink.
I made the grass using some Certainly Celery cardstock punched with my double scallop punch and then just sponged some Wild Wasabi Ink on there for dimension.
Some twine in the button centers and that's it!

I have more to show you from this set, so stay tuned!!
