Wow, just go on my laptop this weekend and discovered that my card made the Round Up at Kristina Werner's blog for the Color Challenge Round Up this past week!!! I'm super excited!! This is only the second time I have submitted. I just love the color combos she comes up with each week. For this one, I used the Unity Stamp single "Leave a Trail" that I won a couple of weeks ago. This was also the sketch from the Splitcoast weekly sketch challenge.

Unity Stamp Challenge #1
Here it is...........my submission for this weeks Unity Stamp Challenge! Those of us who daydream about being on the design team have gotten together and decided to have challenges amongst ourselves and share ideas the days before the big Hip Hop Thursday hoopla. This week we were to case any one of the Unity Design Team members cards we wanted. I chose to case Jennifer Buck-check out her blog here. Her work is amazing and she is super talented.
I used some SU basic grey cardstock with some designer paper from last years DCWV fall stack. Added some glitter and googlie eyes to my tree and shredded my ribbon in hopes it would look a little like a bat. Thanks for looking......again!! I'm done for tonight, way past my bedtime. Pin It

Busy, Busy, Busy
I've had a busy week and a half. My college classes have started this week and this past weekend I had my son's birthday party, a garage sale, and a concert. Here are a couple of the things I was able to put together for some challenges over on Splitcoast.
I'm not going to go into details on each one of these - gotta get makin' some more cards! Tomorrow is Hip Hop Thursday over at the Unity Forum. Check it out - they are giving away over $300 worth of free stamps throughout the day.
This card above is my submission for both the SC191 on Splitcoast and the color challenge at kwernerdesignblog.
Sorry for the quick post. Gotta go for now. Thanks for looking!!

CROP-A-DILE
Do you have one? Did you get instructions? Do you really know what to do with it? I do have one and did not get any sort of instructions with it. The packaging was blank on the back (I got mine through Stampin' Up!).........I found this today and thought I would share it........CROP-A-DILE. This is a big help to me. I keep taking it out an looking at it, still not quite sure of the potential it really has to be a useful crafting tool.
Kristina shared it on her blog kwernerdesignblog today! Thanks Kristina!! Pin It

Perfect Match!
I found this really great paper and thought............this would be perfect to use with my Unity Giggle Grove set. It almost looks like they made it just for this stamp set!! I bought it yesterday and had to use it right away. This is what I came up with. The base of the card is kraft and the colors used with the paper are Stampin' Up! Apricot Appeal and Mellow Moss. The ink is SU Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is from the new Growing in Unity set that wasw also a must have. There are so many other great color combos that could be used with this paper. This won't be the last card you see with this stuff. The card was based on a sketch I found on Jen del Muro's blog. I wish I had more of it!! It comes in the new DCWV Fall Glitter Stack-and that stack has lots of other great papers in it too!!

Cupcake Challenge
I have been following the Cupcake Challenge at Taylored Expressions for some time now. I had the entire day to myself (since my son is gone on an overnight to a water park with friends) and came up with this card for this weeks challenge. Pretty basic, simple card using the only small cupcake stamp I have from SU's Short & Sweet set. The sentiment is from Unity's Cupcake A'la Yummy set. You don't have to use cupcakes, but these turned out so cute on Taylor's card, that I went with it. I colored them in using my SU Stampin' Write markers. The cardstock is SU Lovely Lilac, Certainly Celery, and Pumpking Pie. The designer paper is from DCWV. It was a fun sketch and an easy one too!! Thanks for looking!

The New Stampin' Up! Catalog is up!!
Check it out! Over to the right you can see that I have linked up the new 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog. Lots of great new things in there - take a look. If you would like a hard copy please send me an email with your request. (doodersmom9@gmail.com) As a reminder, we have to buy these catalogs and therefore charge for them, but I offer a $5 gift certificate on your first purchase with me, so the catalog ends up costing about $4. I pay shipping to get it to you. Also worth mention is the fact that the catalog has great ideas for projects, color combinations, and technique tips in it.
I will be back later to discuss the special offer for ordering from me and an In Color ribbon/paper share I want to offer for anyone interested in sampling the new In Colors without having to buy complete packages. Be back soon!!

Vases In Vogue
Sometimes when I really want to stamp, but have nothing specific in mind to do, I stare at my stamp sets and wait for something to jump out at me. My Vases in Vogue set (now retired) gave me some inspiration and this is what I came up with. Used some more of the In Colors that are retiring tomorrow. Love the Blue Bayou and the Purely Pomegranate.

It is very versitile - I've used it on this wedding card and also plan to use it on halloween cards too!! Yup, it's another Unity stamp. This is from their new releases - it's called Growing in Unity. There are lots of very pretty stamps in this set! Check it out! Thanks for looking and have a good weekend!!

Bottle Tags
Aren't these so cute?? I recently went to a jewelry party my sister-in-law had at our new local winery. They were selling tags similar to this, only they were not handmade. A lightbulb went off and I have "cased" the idea and "tweaked" it a little. I have made two versions - one opens like a card and you can add your own sentiment inside and the other is just a tag (you could add message on the back if you wish). I made these using my Unity Tiny Trinity set and some close to cocoa paper and ink. There is a little soft sky in there too.
I have a bunch more of these tags ready for stamping and I'll share some of what I come up with later!
Let me also add that the bottle of wine in the photo is the Oswegatchie Orange that I sampled at the party and ultimately had to purchase. It is absolutely delicious!!! I got a bottle of their Black Lake Berry too!! Yum!!

Say goodbye to these colors........
I'm so sad to see these colors go, I love the Stampin' Up! in colors from this soon to be retired catalog. Soon to be retired - if you are interested in grabbing any of the In Color items that are still available or any retiring stamp sets, you have until Sunday night to place an order. Just shoot me an email or feel free to call me and I will order for you right away - still offering free shipping!!
Both of these cards were made with Unity stamp sets. Floral fantastical and the Kit of the Month sets I just recently got my hands on. My papers are, of course, the soft sky (retiring), blue bayou (retiring), and whisper white from SU.
If you love these colors as much as I do and you still have ink to use, don't let them slip away - order some today!! (I'm a poet and I don't even know it.)

Tiny Trinity Coaster Set
Here is another set of coasters I made. These are for a gift basket I am doing up for a wedding I am going to this weekend. It will include these, a bottle of wine, a couple of wine glasses, and a couple of other items. Hope they like it! I tied these up with brown organza ribbon. The stamps used are the Tiny Trinity set from Unity Stamps. I love this set!! I used my close to cocoa and soft sky ink pads and my blender pen to put just a touch of color to them. Now i need to go make a card up to go with the basket. Thanks for looking!!
