Lady Bugs.........

Hello all.......
Just a quick post tonight to show another card I made using the ladybug border from my Unity June Kit of the Month . I stamped it a couple of times and used my 3/4" square paper punch to get 6 different "pieces" to use. The close up shot is supposed to show how the Crystal Effects on them looks. I also put some glitter in the tail ends of the "ladies" and center of the flowers for added effect.
The paper is all PTI - Pure Poppy, Spring Rain, and White.
Finished it all off with some matching PTI ribbon and paper piercing at the bottom.
That's it!

Pocket Full of Sunshine!!

I need more than a pocket full of sunshine right now!! The weather here has been down right crappy and it is just getting worse. My little guy got rained out of soccer camp yesterday and today!! We are supposed to take in fireworks tonight, but that may not be happening either.
Anyway - here is a card I put together the other day (when it rained).
I used my July KOTM from Unity and my old favorite Distressed Dots!
The cloud is also from the set, but I wanted it blank, so I stamped it and then used the other side. Pretty simple. Added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the pocket and sun's rays for an added touch and that's it! Super easy!!
Well, since it's still raining, I might as well get to stamping today! Thanks for stopping by!

Hangover post..........

Gonna make this a quick post - it's late!
This card is based on a sketch that Jenn Buck had up for the last guest designer challenge. I used one of my early Unity purchases for this one. These stamps were once sold in a kit, but are now available individually - you can check them out HERE.
Added a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds to the Wish Bubbles and some ribbon to complete the card. That's it...........if you need more details let me know!
Enjoy your weekend!!

Trendy Trees

Hello All!
Haven't posted to my blog in a while - quite busy with family issues and stuff, so this was not at the top of my list.
Anyway, I have a post to share tonight and hope to keep at it until my final semester of college starts next month.
This is a "generic" card set I put together using the new SU! In Color Soft Suede. The stamp set used is also SU! Trendy Trees. Very cute! It's a 2 step stamping set and the tree trunks are one stamp and the leaves/tree tops are another. The Mellow Moss strip on the cards was run through my crimper for added dimension. The ribbon is also part of the new In Color stuff. You can use the polka dot side or turn it over and use the solid side.
I left this set with no sentiment so it may be used for anything! Sometimes its nice to just grab a cute card and send it with a little note inside for no particular reason!!
Thanks for stopping by - catch ya later!!

You're Such a Treat!

***REMINDER***
For all who comment on any or all of my posts for this week, your name goes in each time to be drawn for a free stamp from Unity!!
We normally draw this on Thursdays, but I will be picking on Saturday and posting the winner here and on the forum.
Here is my Friday "treat" for my Week of Unity!! This little treat box is one of Lauren Meader's creations. She designs templates for My Timeless Templates over at Papertrey Ink. This template is the "Get a Handle on It" box. Super easy to put together and a great size for all kinds of treats. It comes out to be approximately a 3 1/2" cube. Lots of possibilities here!
I thought...........what better stamp to use than the ice cream cone and treat sentiment from Unity's June KOTM!!

I did not have any "treats" on hand to fill this, but thought it might be cute filled with sprinkles, nuts, or any other kind of ice cream toppings and gifted with old fashioned sundae glasses & spoons. Just a thought......
That's it for my Unity week, thanks to all of you who have stopped by and commented! Stay tuned for a winner from all comments made this week!

Some Thursday Unity Goodness

Wow, Thursday already!! I'm on a roll this week creativity wise. I have two more cards to share with you today.........
On a personal note: today is the last day of school for my little man. He only goes for an hour to pick up his report card - then we are off to have a pancake breakfast together, just him and I! Fun stuff.....

This card uses the super cute "Happy" banner from the Unity June KOTM. The birthday sentiment is from May's Kit. I made my own faux brads with paper punched dots coated in Crystal Effects and covered in glitter.
The other birthday card uses the ginormous, Big Polka Dot Cupcake. I stamped it on some SU! Handrawn Designer Paper and cut it out. This "happy" is from the Unity May KOTM as is the "birthday" sentiment again. I added the polka dots with my SU! marker and raised up the "happy" for some dimension.
That's all for tonight folks!! Thanks for hanging on again to a double card post!
Back tomorrow for the last day of Unity All Week with another creation!!
Have a great day!!

Unity All Week - halfway mark

Hello all - make sure you scroll all the way down today. Double the Unity creations since this is also Unity Addicts Wednesday.

Above is my card for my third day at Unity all week. This card has a big dose of Unity Distressed Dots - one of my very fav background stamps. There is so much you can do with this one big stamp. It comes in hearts and stars too. Don't have these yet, but they are on my wish list.
I stamped it in Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White and punched three pieces with my SU Scallop Punch. Then I added buttons with twine and cut carefully to make petals. The card base also has dots stamped in the same color.
Continuing on.........
Below is my card for Unity Addicts Wednesday Challenge. Since we are right on the heels of July 4th, the challenges was simple - use Red, White, and Blue.
My card uses the distressed star from the January Kit of the Month.
It is actually a pretty simple layout. The star was stamped in white on the red cardstock, and then I stamped one blue star, cut it out, and used a raised dot adhesive to add dimension.
The "celebrate" sentiment is from my PTI Mega Mixed Messages set.
A smaller version of this card would make a cute invite to a 4th picnic celebration!!
Phew........that's it for tonight! Thanks for stopping by...........back tomorrow with another Unity treat!! :)

Day 2 - fun with envelopes

Day 2 of Unity Week here!!!
This is a little 'portfolio' made from 5x7 Kraft envelopes I had lying around. You can use any size envelopes, but I went with the bigger ones since most of my photos are 4x6 when printed.
I've been wanting to try one of these since I had see it HERE on Becky Oehler's blog. I made mine for my {in between} photos.........printed, but not scrapped yet. You can use these little envelope "folios" for just about anything........images, receipts, recipes, coupons, etc.
The top photo is of the outside and the next photo is of the inside where the pockets are.
I stamped distressed dots in Creamy Caramel for my own DP and added buttons, twine, and more stamps from my Unity Kits of the Month from April and back to September.
It all folds up nice and neat and the twine and buttons hold all in place!
Thanks for stopping by...............back tomorrow with more UNITY!!
