Just a quick post to put up my Hangover card. Hip Hop hangover that is. We chat until late in the night and then pay for it the next day :). Anyhoo, this is one of Unity's Giggle Grove trees dolled up with some snowflakes. The snowflakes are from the SU Snow Flurries set and the sentiment is from PTI. If you need more deets, let me know. Thanks for looking!!

Unity Challenge Wednesday.......
It is Wednesday again!! This weeks challenge was set up by Cyndi. Her HOPE challenge involved using "hope", pink, ribbon, and an "m" embellishment for mamogram! October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. My card is really simple - stamped a few of the wish sticks from my Unity Wish Kit. I used mini buttons with some pink floss on the centers of the wish sticks stamped.
That's it. Gotta go for now - see you on Thursday for Hip Hoppin!!

Gift Bags
Aren't these cute?? I tried my hand at the 2,4,6,8, boxes that I've seen all over the place. I used my Versamark Watermark pad and stamped images on the Kraft cardstock before cutting and scoring. The snowflake and flower are both from a couple Unity Stamp Kits I have. I used my scallop edge punch from SU that I just got to add something to the top of the boxes. I used the same images and stamped some matching tissue paper. Then I stamped a little sentiment from my PTI sentiment set and tied it on to the top. That's it. These are super easy and are great for little gifts like earrings or neclaces, etc. Sorry for the quick post - Thanks for looking - back tomorrow with Unity Wednesday Challenge!!

Twilight Challenge
Angela at Unity Stamps has put up a Twilight Challenge over on SCS. (It is her fault that so many of us are hooked on these books.) :) We are to design a card or scrapbook page based on the "Twilight" series book covers. I took the red and black and made a simple card using sentiments (from a couple of different Unity sets) that are expressed through out the series. It is a romantic thriller for sure! If you know what I'm talking about, check out the challenge and put a card together!
Now, if you have no idea what Twilight is, you had better get on it!! This series of books is amazing!! I am personally almost finished with the third book -"Eclipse" and will be moving on to #4 by the weekend. The movie for "Twilight" is coming out Nov. 21st! Can't wait!!

Kissing Ball
I totally cased the great Jennifer Buck on this one! This stamp is from the Unity Tiny Trinity Kit, and Jennifer turned it upsided down for a holiday card a while back. I knew when I saw her card that I had to case it! It is a very simple card - like most of mine are. Whisper White, Bravo Burgundy, and Handsome Hunter. The sentiment is from a Stampendous set I have that I had not used yet. I thought it fit this perfectly! Thanks for looking.

Simple Life
This was my submission for the SCS Sketch Challenge this week. I worked this card around my Unity Wish set and went with a 5x7 size again. This set of stamps is big, I love it! I'm on a kraft kick this week. You can match so much with it and I just got a package of it from a recent SU order.......Just a quick post - it's Hip Hop Thursday and there's lots of chatting going on.

Combined Challenges / Unity Challenge Wednesday
Amber has offered up a Unity Sketch Challenge this week with the awesome sketch above. It is also time for Unity Wednesday Challenge and Lori's "recipie" is for ribbon, something clear, and a recent Unity stamp purchase. I've combined them and came up with this card below. The quote and butterfly are from my Unity October Kit of the Month that came in the mail last week!! I used SU Kraft, Baja Breeze, Apricot Appeal, and Very Vanilla cardstock. The designer paper is from the SU Holiday Treasures Pack. Added some clear dew drops and ribbon, with a little bit of glitter on the quote. Thanks for looking!! Don't forget to stop by the Unity Forum on Thursday for Hip Hop!!

More whimsical trees....
Used my whimsical tree stamp from Unity again and paper-pieced more SU designer paper to alter a Ball jar I had hanging around. Nothin' in it yet, but would be good for candy or even some homemade hot cocoa! It really isn't anything fancy, but not too bad for my first attempt at it. I really love this stamp - so much potential!
Jennifer Buck is giving away some blog candy if you link up a holiday creation on her blog. I'm going to link this one up and hope I win that super awesome stuff she is giving away!

Whimsical Trees
Got a little stamping time in on Friday night and am just getting around to posting the photos. I've been wanting to use my Unity single Whimsical Trees. This stamp is huge! So you get the idea how big it is, this is a 5x7 card and the stamp just about fills it. I paper-pierced the trees using the new holiday designer paper I just got from Stampin' Up! It is one of the new paper sets - Holiday Treasures. The "snow" is just some white glitter I had lying around. I like how this stamp pieces and will probably be making some more of these with some of the other DP I have.
Give me a shout if you are interested in purchasing any SU holiday stuff. They've got some pretty holiday papers, embellishments, etc. There is still plenty of time to order and have it here in time to create some holiday treats or cards!!

It's Wednesday Again...........
Here we are at Wednesday again already........where did this past week go?? This post will be quick - busy, busy, busy......PTA meeting tonight. This weeks challenge was in conjunction with the Hubby Card Challenge and we were to make a masculine card. I used my Unity - Autumn Blessings set and came up with this birthday card. Used some twine and made it a little "rough around the edges" with some plaid. I'm not so good at the masculine card thing, but this one came out okay. Get ready.........tomorrow is Hip Hop Thursday at the Unity Forum, see ya there!!

Peace, Love, Joy........
Here is another card with the designer paper from Memorybox. For this one, I used the angel from my Unity September Kit of the Month (no longer available). I colored her in with my SU markers and sponged the edges. The snowflake in the background is also from this kit and I stamped that with my Versa Mark Watermark pad. The sentiment is from my Stampin' Up! Warm Words set.
Silly me did not notice that I forgot to color one of her shoes in before taking my photo. I did not feel like taking another picture nor do I really have the time. Working on getting the first draft of a big research paper together and it has consumed a great deal of my weekend. And.........I better get back to work!!

Happy Holidays
Put together a couple of Christmas cards using this designer paper by Memorybox that I bought a month or so ago from Impress Rubber Stamps. A lot of times I pick out a paper and design the card around it. The trees are from the new Gina K set The Magic of Christmas. I can't wait to use this set some more - the sleigh, the snowflakes, the ornaments...... It is hard to tell in the photo, but I used some glitter on the trees for a "snowy" effect. I could have used many different colors to match with the DP - this card has SU sage shadow and bravo burgundy. Thanks for looking!

Unity Challenge Wednesday!!
It's Wednesday again and another challenge. This weeks challenge comes from Jess @ Kindred Arts and its a good one. Open for lots of creativity. We are to make any card that is not the standard A2 size. So many possibilities. I made a couple of cards in a 3" x 5 1/2" size. I love this size card, just don't love trying to come up with an envelope.
Both cards were made with Unity Giggle Grove. One with a tree from the full size set, and one with the little border version that came in last month's Kit Of The Month. Both have SU Soft Sky and Blush Blossom with some Close to Cocoa in there. As you can tell from my blog design, I love these colors together!! Make sure you check out the other talent creating for this challenge.

Found this really pretty designer paper by Heidi Grace (Fiskars). Worked my cards around it. It matched really well with the SU River Rock paper and ribbon that I still have hanging around. The sketch was one from the WCMD challenges put up on SCS. I did not have time to complete all 7, but put this together last night. For some reason the ribbon does not look like it matches the paper, but it does - believe me. Most cards are prettier in person anyway. The stamp is a Unity Stamp single, Just Be - wise words to live by don't you think?? I continued on with the same color scheme as I often do, and came up with this card. I took the "Just Be" from the same sentiment above, and stamped one of the butterflies from the Unity Butterfly Beauty set. These colors are so rich together, aren't they?
Thanks for looking - off to make a card or two for the Unity Hip Hop Wednesday Challenge coming this week!
If you have not been to Hip Hop Thursday yet, this is the week to stop by. Here is what that crazy Angela at Unity is giving away all day Thursday!!

3 x 3 note card sets
Here are a couple of 3 x 3 note card sets I made a while back. Both are very easy to make. One has no stamping at all and the other has just a sentiment stamped on it. The pink set of cards was made using the Pretty In Pink DP from Stampin' Up! and some white cardstock. The sentiments are from some of the many Unity Stamp sets. There is a little bit of everything for everyday use in this set. The yellow set involved some cutting, flower paper punches, and gems - that's it! The DP is SU as well. Today is World Cardmaking Day! Lots of great stuff going on over at Splitcoast Stampers if you have time to create today. Lots of prizes too.

Autumn Blessings
I combined the sketch challenge and the color challenge at SCS this week since I don't have lots of time to stamp. This is what I came up with. I used my Unity Autumn Blessings set on this since the colors were so "fall like". Thanks for looking, gotta run - it's Hip Hop Thursday and Gina K is having a release party tonight. Homework is gonna have to wait..........

Unity Challenge Wednesday!!
It's Wednesday again and time for the Pre Hip Hop Challenge!! This weeks challenge was a sketch done by Maggie. Great sketch!! I told you that I loved this snowflake from the Unity Kit of the Month for September and I'd be using it alot. It is so detailed and pretty and has so much potential. I stamped it as the background and then reversed the colors, cut some out and used 3-d dots to give dimension. There are rhinestones in the bottom and I added some ribbon. That's it!! Make sure you check out all the other Wednesday Challenge Blogs - the list is down to the left. There are lots of super talented ladies participating!
